I love doing projects that force me to rethink the way I shoot, and challenge me in different ways. This shoot with the Midland Community Center was definitely one of those projects. I had 10 or so employee headshots to take of their to take, plus a single environmental portrait of each. The timeline was very compressed and I only had a few brief minutes with each person. On top of that, in some instances we were grabbing anybody we could from the gym area to use as (unwilling) subjects =).
In the end I think we got some great stuff. Those that we did find to work with us were great. I also made heavy use of my new Elinchrom Quadra flash with SkyPort trigger which really helped to keep things moving.
