Kellie & Nolan’s Downtown Celebration
Kellie and Nolan’s Bay City wedding combined vintage charm and modern elegance, with a ceremony at the State Theatre and a waterfront reception at the DoubleTree Hotel.
Getting Ready & First Looks
The day started in the Wenona Suite at the DoubleTree, where Kellie and her bridesmaids prepped for the day, featuring custom jean jackets for portraits. The guys got ready in a separate hotel room, and we captured both groups before heading to the theater.
We began with detail photos of rings, dress, and a few personal touches, then moved into pre-ceremony portraits.
Ceremony at the State Theatre
Their 2:00 ceremony took place under the glowing marquee at the State Theatre. A friend played piano, and they included a unity candle in the 20-minute ceremony. Afterward, we did a quick receiving line and family portraits, then hopped downtown for a few relaxed shots before cocktail hour.
Reception at the DoubleTree
Cocktail hour was followed by a 6:15 grand entrance, dinner, toasts, and first dances. Kellie and Nolan cut their cake, shared emotional parent dances, and wrapped the night with a fun bouquet toss and dancing—all with DJ Dean Rusch from Rusch Entertainment keeping the energy high.
