This past Saturday Bay City celebrated the 50th anniversary of their fireworks festival by shooting off 50,000 shells in 50 minutes. Wow was it an amazing show.
Fireworks pictures are something that you really only have the chance to do about once a year, so I knew in advance I wanted to capture some unique shots this time around. I positioned myself on Liberty Bridge just prior to the show start. Through a combination of slow shutter speeds and some amazing light bouncing off the Saginaw River waters I was able to capture some images that I’m pretty happy with.
I hope you enjoy these Bay City fireworks photos! For more information on the show, you can visit the official Bay City Fireworks website here. To purchase prints, or view the entire set, please visit my online gallery of fireworks photos.
